Mel has an extensive background of over 25 years in adult social care

Her career has encompassed various roles and responsibilities, showcasing a commitment to improving the quality of care and services in the sector

General manger – Recruiting, growing and developing teams,  working with families, and health and social care professionals to ensure best practice.
Achieving outstanding CQC, EHO 5* and  accredited at Gold Standard by Investors in people.

Operations and Projects manager – responsible for recruiting, mentoring and supporting leadership teams; fostering cultures where individuals and teams thrive and provide excellent customer service for older people and their communities.

Closely working with HR and L+D teams to provide an environment where individuals can achieve their aspirations and developing workforce strategy and succession planning.

Re-design of recruitment processes to streamline and create people focused approaches to attract, recruit and retain excellent team members.

Mel has been actively involved in collaborating with care providers and participating in working groups and workshops in conjunction with Skills for Care. These efforts were aimed at enhancing recruitment and retention practices within the local community.

Now working as a freelance facilitator  – Mel offers support to organisations to enable change through Culture conversation workshops, action learning and people strategies.  Focusing on improving recruitment, retention, and ultimately achieving business objectives.
